Scaling L&D with LCvista Plus: A recap from Live with Laura

Understand how Plus fits within the current LCvista foundation for managing compliance risk and professional development.

Today's Live with Laura was all about LCvista Plus. Our VP of Product Marketing, Mike Redd, and I walked through why we built it, what's in it today, and where it's headed. If you missed the session or want to revisit any of it, the full recording is here. For everyone else, below is a quick recap of the bigger pieces we covered.

Why Plus

A lot of what shaped Plus came directly from what we keep hearing from firms. L&D workloads are growing faster than teams can scale to meet. Manual work keeps pulling time away from higher-value initiatives. Credential complexity keeps expanding across roles, jurisdictions, and service lines. Firm leaders want faster, clearer insights, and teams want their day-to-day work to feel consistent and predictable as the firm scales.

Plus is built to help with all of that. It sits on the LCvista foundation you already know and adds the automation, governance, and insight needed to scale L&D without scaling headcount.

Three areas where Plus does the work

AUTOMATION. We walked through the new LinkedIn Learning integration, which is built specifically for the way accounting firms think about CPE. Learners launch courses through SSO, completions flow back to LCvista automatically, and NASBA-worthy content is treated differently from non-CPE content so credit gets issued correctly.

We also showed certificate scanning for external credit submissions. It pulls the key details from an uploaded PDF and pre-populates the request form, with the professional still reviewing before submitting. That workflow is one of the heaviest time sinks for admins today, so this one should free up real hours.

Finally, we shared how LCvista Plus tracks credit and engagement from live courses and webinars (and we even had a live polling demo during the webinar).

GOVERNANCE. The new Credential Policy Manager (in development, with previews shown during the session) lets you define what good standing looks like for a specific group of professionals, whether that's managing professional credentials for non-traditional service lines like Cybersecurity & Risk teams, or ensuring government auditors in NY are properly licensed. LCvista then monitors whether each person meets the policy, flags exceptions, and triggers a workflow to resolve them. No more severed workflows & scattered expectations across business units, but instead a united workflow where BUs define good standing for their groups, and L&D remains the hub of tracking and enforcement.

INSIGHTS. The new dashboards (in development, with previews shown during the session) are designed around the questions admins already field every month. Which providers are getting used, how content is being consumed, where engagement is strong or soft, and how learning plans are tracking. The goal is to surface those answers visually, so you're not rebuilding the same reports from scratch every cycle.

The core platform keeps moving too

I want to be clear: the core LCvista platform is not slowing down. We covered several recent and upcoming improvements available to all customers, including course versioning and equivalencies, custom email, natural language search, and more flexible handling of jurisdiction-specific ethics qualifications.
